The Weekend Round-Up – your debrief of the week in fashion and features news

THIS week, the continuing allegations against Harvey Weinstein showed no sign of abating, as Lupita Nyong’o became the latest star to reveal her own experience at the hands of the movie mogul.

In fashion industry news, attention was pulled to LA as Erdem unveiled his collaboration with H&M in a celeb-heavy catwalk show; Burberry unveiled its first see-now, buy-now capsule collection for Net-A-Porter; Sarah Mower celebrated the launch of her #SarahsList collaboration with Liberty London; and Vogue‘s fashion critic, Anders Christian Madsen, interviewed Demna Gvasalia about his new life in Zurich and his big plans for January. On the style front, Naomi Campbell showed just why she’s still a Super;Beyoncé came back with a bang; Karlie Kloss announced her new talk show; and Liya Kibede stole the show at Calvin Klein’s New York fragrance launch.

Elsewhere, Hillary Clinton appeared on BBC Radio’s Woman’s Hour, revealing her thoughts about Trump, Weinstein and how she still hopes to shatter the glass ceiling; and following the airing of the George Michael documentary Freedom (the super star’s last piece of work), we looked back at his life in front of the camera.

Meanwhile, the fashion team has six ways to wear tinted sunglasses this autumn; 18 catwalk midi dresses that will reboot your autumn look; the best knitwear to wear now; how to wear cord; seven classic Sex and the City looks you should recycle for 2017; and charted Kaia Gerber’s best street-style looks. They also travelled to Seoul to chart the best ensembles from the streets of Seoul.

In beauty, the team looked at how to do easy Halloween make-up (don’t miss the “bad kitty” and “creepy doll” tutorials here); advised how not to get a cold; looked at bridal beauty the Sali Hughes way; researched the best advent beauty calendars; and went viral with its exclusive Cheryl interview, in which the popular singer told beauty and health editor Lisa Niven, “Nowadays my main way to relax is sleep. Since the baby was about seven weeks old he’s slept seven hours through and now he can sleep for 12, so I’m lucky.”

In arts and lifestyle, Fiona Mozely spoke about what it feels like to be shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize; feted the best Vegetarian restaurants; counted the best cookery books of the moment; and advised on what to do with your precious weekend.
