I have been trying out hydrating face packs and sheet masks these days because my skin has been becoming drier day-by-day. In line with that, I tried out the Olive sheet mask from It’s Skin. Let us see how hydrating it proved to be, shall we?
Price: 100 INR for 1 sheet mask (20 ml)
The Fresh Mask Sheet Olive from Its Skin is said to provide nutrition to your skin. It also has firming effects that keep your skin looking tight and energetic with just one use. It is Skin Safety Tested and perfect to be used on all types of skin.
My Experience with It’s Skin The Fresh Mask Sheet Olive:
As I have mentioned earlier, I was looking for rich hydration, and since I have had these masks for quite a while, I decided to give them a go. I have previously tried their Blueberry and Avocado mask sheets, which were from the same range as this one. They did their job but I was not too happy about them.
This Olive sheet mask comes in a similar packaging as others. The language in the packaging is mostly Korean, except for the sticker they have placed on the back, which fortunately has the ingredients list in English. By looking at it, the ingredients list is not extraordinary but I was not hoping for a miracle either.
The mask is made up of cotton type material which is thick compared to a few other mask sheets from other brands. Not all thick masks are bad though. The mask was soaked in serum. On taking out the mask, the serum was thick and not runny. The mask was easy to unfold and the fitting was good. The mask did not slip off after placing it. Even immediately after placing the mask, my skin could not feel the intense coolness the sheet masks usually deliver. The mask felt heavy on the skin and it took a long while before my face got used to the mask. It was far away from the suffocating-like feeling certain masks give, but it was not leaving space for the skin to breathe underneath either.
After 20 minutes, the mask was still wet and the packet had some amount of serum in it too. The face was fully drenched and after patting for a while, the serum got fully absorbed. The serum left behind a sticky feeling which is not that likeable for me.
Apart from it, this mask was better than the other two variants of rich serum containing sheet masks from this range. It actually smoothed the dry patches and the skin was plumped up too which was lacking in the other types.
Overall, this mask was good. Though pretty basic in its function, this worked really well for my face because my skin needed a good dose of moisturization.
Pros of It’s Skin The Fresh Mask Sheet Olive:
• Easy to use and mess-free
• The serum is thick and wonderful for dry skin
• It treated my dry patches well
• It hydrated and plumped my skin well
Cons of It’s Skin The Fresh Mask Sheet Olive:
• The serum left a tacky feeling behind on the skin when it dried
• The smell of the serum is quite heavy. If you are allergic to perfumed products, you must not even go near this mask. Though some serums are pleasant and enjoyable; this serum had the smell of olive oil and I did not like it that much
• If you are suffering from acne, you should be wary before using it. This is certainly not for oily and acne prone skin. But you can wash this off after a while if you want to try this out
Will I Recommend/Repurchase It’s Skin The Fresh Mask Sheet Olive?
Yes. It is better than the Blueberry and the Avocado ones for dry skin.
